Paris Fun Cooking Class: Food Market and Cooking

 

Your “Food Market & Cooking Class in Paris” stands out as an authentic and fun experience.
The class starts at a local farmers’ market, the one where the chef shops every day. Together with your guide, you pick the best seasonal produce available, you devise a menu, you meet purveyors – and you select the wine too, of course!

Together we will explore local shops – cheese store, bread maker, vegetable stand, butcher, fishmonger, fruit seller etc...You will rub elbows with local Parisians shopping for their food.

Then the chef takes you to your “classroom”: his actual home. This is where you will measure yourself against french cuisine. Once acknowledged the chef about your cooking skills and tastes, he will set out a program accordingly. He will introduce you to the cooking utensils and to the protocol in his kitchen.
Now start cooking! There is a meal to prepare!

This cooking class is very hands-on – you are not here to watch, everyone cooks the whole meal.

The menu focuses on spectacular French dishes that you will be able to reproduce to impress your friends.
You will work on some very high-end food products, learn some techniques, and discuss french food anecdotes – whilst sipping a cool drink.

After all this work, it’s time to eat of course!
Enjoy a very refined meal, with matching drinks, in a Parisian home – the meal you just designed and cooked with your own hands.

The host is a Paris food buff and an advanced recreational chef. He shares personal memories, family tips and cooking traditions passed on from generation to generation. Later, after your market & cooking in Paris, your host will send you the recipe of whatever you ended up choosing to cook.
