Severely damaged by bombing in the Second World War, it was abandoned until the Berlin Wall came down and finally reopened to the public in 2009. Admire its many impressive exhibitions, focusing on prehistoric times, early civilization and the undoubted star attraction, its Egyptian collection featuring the stunning bust of Nefertiti.
