Overview
This is one of the most classic tours of Bali.
Your first stop will be at the holy forest of Sangeh, populated by several tribes of gentle monkeys that guard the temple from evil spirits.
You will then proceed to the Royal Temple Taman Ayun in Mengwi. Taman Ayun literally translates as "Beautiful Garden". It was built in 1634 by the King of Mengwi and is bordered by broad canals and it can only be entered via a bridge leading to a richly ornamented gate which gives access to the outer courtyard of the temple. It has a beautiful temple building with multi-storeyed roof and Balinese Architecture. There is a wide beautiful landscape garden in the front courtyard to welcome all visitors.
Finally, you will reach the coastline to admire the world famous temple on the sea named Tanah Lot and you will enjoy the spectacular landscape that surrounds it. Tanah Lot was erected by the villagers in memory of the brahman Sait Nirartha, who is said to have engaged in a conversation with God for an entire night, right where the temple stands now.
