In the Drago Park the visitor can contemplate one of the oldest living beings in the world: The Millenary Drago. This specimen, declared a national monument in 1917, is the longest of its kind with an estimated age of 1000 years. In addition, it is one of the most important natural, cultural and historical symbols of the Canary Islands.In an extension of about 3 hectares, you can see the representation of the endemics of the island of Tenerife in its different bioclimatic floors, ranging from the coast to the mountain, as well as several ethnographic areas representing various traditions of the municipality. The winery, coal bunkers and a cave with the representation of an aboriginal Guanche burial stand out.At the foot of the Drago there is an area dedicated to the smallest dragos, called "Guardería de Dragos". It shows the evolutionary process of this species.The park is an example of a sustainable garden in which you can learn about the flora and the enjoyment of the surrounding vegetation, offering spaces that allow us to see the Millenary Drago, allowing the contemplation of the different faces of the same and the views of Teide and the sea within the same landscape.

Have a great day out with all the family just minutes away from Los Crisitianos and Playa de las Americas. Camel Park is a camel farm and zoo situated in attractive rural soundings in the southern part of Tenerife. Go for a ride on a camel (choose from 20, 30 and 50 minute rides) and meet the different farm animals. Young children will enjoy coming up close to the goats, donkeys, ducks, chickens, grey parrots and dogs. They will even be able to stroke them. br>

Of all the hidden secrets in Tenerife few are as close to hand as the glorious gardens of Sitio Litre. This historic mansion is barely 500 metres from the beaches but it is a world away in every other sense. Come along and allow us to transport you back hundreds of years, when colonial Tenerife was a lush land covered in dense vegetation.

The story of Sitio Litre begins when Archibald Little purchased what was then a convent in 1774. Inspired by the beauty of the island’s flowers, plants and trees, he began work on a stunning landscaped garden that has remained resplendent to this day. In fact, there is a drago tree in the estate that is believed to have been there since before the Spanish conquest in 1494! You’ll also find one of the oldest bougainvilleas in Tenerife and the largest collection of orchids.

In 1852, the estate was bought by astronomer Charles Piazzi Smith. His descendants held on to the property till 1996, when businessman John Lucas purchased it and opened it to the public. As a result, Sitio Litre is the oldest continuously owned British property in Spain – 240 years and counting.

Victorian botanist Marianne North, whose paintings are displayed in the house, said of Sitio Libre, ‘I never smelt roses as sweet as those in Mr Smith’s garden.’ And Agatha Christie was so taken by her stay that she was inspired to set a short story, The Man From The Sea, in Puerto de la Cruz.

Finca Las Margaritas began with the cultivation of bananas in 1977. Integrated greenhouse farm with 98% bananas, Gran Enana and Gruesa Palmera variety, and 2% of fruit trees: papaya, avocado, mango and other fruit trees. It has room of tools, the QUARTITO, enabled like space of rest, workshops, tastings, exhibition and store.

This self guided tour has been designed to help you observe and understand the cultural, economical ,agricultural value of this part of southern Tenerife and enjoy the landscape the coast of Las Galletas, the bananas plantations and volcanoes.

During the tour you will find numbered signs so you can chose to pause stop and read the contents in a folder in your chosen language. Perhaps note that due to each the rowing process of the plant and new farming might find yourself in other stops with more detailed references. The end of the tour you can find the room for tasting.

The Palmetum is a botanical garden which comprises 12 hectares, specializing in the family of the palm trees. It is a unique project in the world, which has transformed what used to be a landfill area into a space for leisure and botanic studies. It is a showcase of spectacular vegetation, which is the result of collaboration work with numerous organizations from around the world (Sydney, Havana, Miami, Santo Domingo, among others).

The Palmetum is the only mountain garden on the coast of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It features a variety of viewing points with breathtaking vistas of the sea, the city and the Anaga Mountain Range (and coming soon, the Biosphere reserve!). The gardens boast the best collection of palm trees in Europe and also an array of streams, lagoons and waterfalls.

Step inside Abaco and step back in time to colonial Tenerife. This museum is located in a historic hacienda that is steeped in the fascinating and at times tragic history of the island. Visiting the luxurious mansion and its beautifully landscaped grounds on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz will give you an insight into the lives of the descendants of the conquistadors who overthrew the native Guanches and enslaved them to work on their estates.

The current mansion, which was built in the 18th century by the Benitez de Lugo family, has passed through many hands since then, including an English family during Victorian times and a Czechoslovakian World War II hero.

You will see the opulence in which the island’s nobility lived: immaculately preserved antiques blend in seamlessly with traditional Canarian décor. The tenor of the original construction has been respected throughout though it has been equipped with contemporary amenities and services. As a living museum, it retains an emblematic style and is preserved by the local authorities as a Building of Cultural Interest.

Enjoy aquatic sports at La Playa de Las Teresitas with Anaga Experience.

Stand Up Paddle
You can book an Initiation Course, taught by the Official School of Stand Up Paddle; Anaga Experience in Las Teresitas Beach, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Throughout the season they provide initiation courses, where you can explore all the small corners of the bay of Las Teresitas beach. Duration: 20 minutes of theory and enjoy your experience with 1 hour of practice.

Double Kayak
Enjoy your time in a double kayak at Las Teresitas beach. You will have a fun experience, and see a different view of the bay whilst paddling your kayak. Duration: 1 hour.

Here you'll all sorts of challenging fun and games for all ages and physical capacities including over 90 activities, platforms high up among the treetops and 11 lengthy ziplines.

There are two different circuits with for different ages and abilities. You'll have the time of your life as you swing through the treetops; you'll find hanging bridges, gangways and giant spider’s webs. Climb to our 30 metres viewing platforms for stunning views of Mount Teide and the neighbouring islands.
