Experience a majestic world made of nothing but sand as you spend some time at the famed Antalya Sand Sculpture Festival in Turkey. An annual occurrence attracting people of all ages, enter a true Sandland for some unforgettable sights and amazing creations.

Showcasing some impressive artistic talent, the Antalya Sand Sculpture Festival is a mega exhibition of sand sculptures of varying sizes and subjects. The exhibition area is a vast 7,000 square metres, and boasts more than 100 sand sculptures taking an estimated 3,000 hours of artistic performance. A truly remarkable feat with a unique and wonderful outcome. With a changing theme each year, make your way along Lara Beach to explore the ingenuity and skill captured in each of the different sand sculptures. Creations of a group of sand sculptors from all over the world, enjoy gazing at their talents as you see the many fascinating ways they gave shape to nearly 10,000 tons of sand. Walk amongst the sculptures, pointing out and admiring your favourites. Take out your camera to capture pictures of the sand statues on their own, or use them as a creative backdrop for some remarkable photos.

A fun day out for all the family at this waterpark situated between the resorts of Side and Alanya on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.
In soaring temperatures, what better way to spend the day than splashing around in water and sliding down thrilling water slides. The slides include a black hole, rafting slide and aqua tubing. There is also an aqua tower and slides as well as a spray action park for the kids.

Come with us for a day of adventure away from the beach. Away from the coast, this part of Turkey is something of an adventure playground - created by Mother Nature herself with craggy peaks, fragrant pine and cedar forests and impenetrable river canyons. And it is the latter that this trip focuses on, a white water rafting trip in the Köprülü canyon in the mountains.

After being picked up from your hotel between 08:00 and 09:00 we'll drive up into the mountains heading for the riverside village of Beskonak, where you will be given a safety briefing and don a helmet and life-vest. Then, take your seat, along with your guide in your eight-person raft and get ready to roll. Feel the cool breezes as your raft skims and spins over the waters with everyone laughing and shrieking along the way.

Keep your eyes on the scenery, too. You will raft past steep cliffs and pine forests that most tourists never get to see. It is an exhilarating ride but the rapids are gentle rather than turbulent, so they are perfect for beginners.

Then we will return to the resort, arriving back at between 17:00 and 18:00.

This full-day excursion includes hotel pick up and drop off, transfers, lunch, use of rafting equipment (including helmet) and the services of an English-speaking guide throughout. This trip is not suitable for wheelchairs and the less mobile and for children under the age of 12. Please note that drinks are not included.

The main tank was designed and decorated by a Italian sculptor, Benedetti, inspired by coral reefs and featuring a life-size aeroplane, shipwreck and submarine.

The almost 5 million litres of water in the main tank are home to many species of tropical fish and sharks. You will find species from the all over world's oceans and rivers, from caves and there is even a special tank for jelly fish!

The Aquarium also offers Snow World, over 1500m2 of winter wonderland with igloos, Santa's grotto and cafés where visitors can have a snowball fight and make snowmen, the Tropical Swimming Reef, situated on the aquarium's roof where visitors will have the chance to swim with harmless sharks and rays and even get to feed the fish in special aquariums and Kid's World (these attractions are subject to an extra fee).

And if you should fancy some food or refreshments you will find something for all tastes; there are several restaurants, a fast food restaurant a patisserie and an ice-cream cafe at the aquarium.

Eftalia Island is located by the beach and there are a lot of facilities such as a Waterpark (12 adult slides, 5 child slides), snack bars, mini-clubs, playgrounds for children, 2 swimming pools for adults and 1 for children, patisserie, post office, market, hamam Spa and gym area, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool and beach.

After collection from the hotels the tour drives to the meeting place by Damlatas Cave, close to Cleopatra’s Beach, to set off for the hilltop climb to Alanya Castle to watch the sunset and take pictures. Climbing about 400m above Alanya the tour stops for an evening meal at a local restaurant. This break lasts for approximately 1.5 hours and beautiful panoramic views of Alanya can be enjoyed from this spot.

Following dinner, the tour moves on to the off-road section, driving through the forest for almost 15 minutes. Close to the off-road, there is a nomadic tent where the tour stops for about 30 minutes. Here there is an opportunity to try a smoke of a water pipe or ‘nargile’ in Turkish.

Continuing with the tour, the second off-road section is joined for about 15 or 20 minutes, driving through the forest before making the return journey back to resort.

Leave the hustle and bustle of resort life behind for the day and get off the beaten track to see some of the real Turkey, exploring places you didn’t know existed.

Travelling in off-road vehicles, you'll drive into the hills above the coast, feeling the air get cooler as you go. You'll journey along jaw-dropping mountain roads and through rural villages where time seems to have stopped.

We stop at one of these villages to visit an old house and meet some of the family members who live there; traditional sage tea is served made from sage gathered in the nearby woods.

When entering the Turkish Bath, you will leave all the hastiness of daily life outside. You'll exchange your clothes for a waist cloth and adorn the traditional clogs. The inside temperature can reach up to 50 degrees celcius under the central dome of the building. This heat and humidity opens the pores of the body and extracts the fatty anoils of the body in preparation for your scrub down and massage by the attendant.

After a soap massage you leave the bath place with towels and pass to the resting room. Here tea is offered to you. You'll leave the Turkish Bath renewed, beautiful and refreshed.

Requirements

Transfer from the Hotel to the Buggy Safari base approximately 45km inland in a forested area. After a briefing about the vehicles, the route and safety rules you'll make a test drive. Now you're ready to head for your exciting fun-filled drive, off the beaten tracks, by following dusty paths, and crossing creek. There will be a rest stop by a small lake with an aopportunity to take a refreshing dip. Back at the base you'll get the opportunity to change your clothes and refresh yourself before you will return to your hotel.
