Discover the Cappadocia Highlights - Full-Day Small Group Tour

Begin the tour at Esentepe Panoramic Viewpoint, where you can admire the picturesque landscape stretching out before you while your guide provides an introductory briefing about the Cappadocia region.

Continue on to Uçhisar Castle, a natural rock hill that served as a fortress during the Roman period. The caves and pigeon houses carved into and around the hill create a fascinating scene. Uçhisar Castle is also notable for being the highest point in Cappadocia.

Enjoy a photo stop in Pigeon Valley before heading to the Göreme Open‑Air Museum. Once a monastic settlement for the early Christians of Cappadocia, this remarkable site played a key role in the flourishing and spread of Christianity. The museum features cave churches adorned with impressive frescoes, as well as kitchens and dining rooms carved directly into the rock.

Avanos has been a pottery village since the Hittite period (2000 BC), and local artisans continue to preserve this ancient tradition today. You will have the opportunity to learn about this traditional art, still practiced on a kick wheel just as the Hittites once did. After a pottery demonstration at a family‑run workshop, continue to Paşabağı, also known as Monks Valley. This former monastic settlement is home to churches and monks’ cells and offers a unique opportunity to observe the different stages of fairy chimney formation over time.

Next, drive to Devrent Valley, known as the Imaginary Valley, which is famous for its most surreal and unusual rock formations. On the return journey to Ürgüp, stop at the iconic Fairy Chimneys, where the “Family of Fairies” awaits.

The tour concludes with a visit to a renowned wine factory, where you can taste this delicious drink that has been considered sacred since Hittite times.
