All trips to Istanbul should include a visit to the most famous Christian church in the world for 1.000 years (and since 500 years a Mosque), the Hagia Sophia, and the 1.500-year-old water cistern Basilica, famous for its Medusa heads and many Hollywood Blockbusters. Both attractions are located just next to each other in the old town in Sultanahmet Square.

At the Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern, meet a local guide who takes you through a fast-track line to enter the site, followed by a highlights tour in English. After the tour you can stay inside the attractions as long as you want.

Begin your tour at either attraction. Your local guide will help you get oriented and advise you of the best time to visit both attractions so as to avoid long lines. You may use the same voucher for both experiences, even on different days.

While on the boat, take photos of the whole city and admire important monuments and mosques from a distance. The boat will return to its departure point and then you are free to continue your sightseeing.

We wish you a wonderful and pleasant stay in Istanbul.
