Bohemian Paris Experience

Discover the enigmatic charms of France’s capital on this enlightening Paris city tour that pairs secret local hangouts with delicious food and wine!

Start this bohemian Paris tour on Sainte-Genevieve Hill, a popular spot with local university students that offers impressive views of the imposing Pantheon. Next, stop in at the Luxembourg Gardens and soak up the romanticism of this quiet haven that offers a welcome break from Paris’ busy streets.

Continue to the vibrant Saint-Germain area, a hotspot for writers, intellectuals, musicians, and artists. Full of eclectic cafes, cool coffee houses, pokey bookshops, and lively street markets, it’s easy to see why Ernest Hemingway, Jim Morrison, and many others fell in love with the bohemian vibe of this area. Despite rising prices and gentrification, Saint-Germain has managed to retain its irresistible, artistic charm. This area is one of the best places to see that unbeatable, unique Paris charm, and this Saint-Germain tour will show you exactly what it means to be a local in the area.

Next on our Paris walking tour, wander along the serene embankments of the Seine River, and stop at a traditional wine store where you can sample a typical French charcuterie plate. Full of deliciously decadent cheese, salty cured meat, and rich pâtés, this is an authentic French gastronomic treat!

From here move on to the beautiful surrounding square, the oldest in Paris, to play a game of petanque or bocci balls. This fun game is still played by many of Paris' citizens and all over the country, and they even might share some tips on technique as you play. At this time. Enjoy a well-earned glass of French wine or traditional pastis - who knows, it may help improve your technique!

After the game head towards the energetic Saint-Michel area and take a peek into Paris’ first English bookshop, nestled in a medieval house and packed to the rafters with novels, from the classics to modern masterpieces. This place is like Mecca for bookworms, and definitely not to be missed, especially if you're a book lover.

Finally, finish the Paris day tour with the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral, where you can take photos of this legendary building and really fall in love with the beautiful city of Paris (if you haven't done so already!). Could there be a better way to finish this Paris city tour rich in history, gastronomy, and art?

Heart of Paris: Île de la Cité, River Walk, Seine River Cruise and Sainte-Chapelle

Take in iconic sights from Notre Dame to Sainte Chapelle, before a leisurely cruise along the River Seine as the city’s history unravels before you.

Highlights
- Marvel at Notre Dame and reflect on the impact it has had not only in Paris, but worldwide
- Explore the Latin Quarter, and learn about the characters at the heart of Parisian history
- Gain special-access entry to Sainte Chapelle, and bask in its breathtaking Gothic architecture
- Enjoy a charming cruise along the river Seine

See the site of Notre Dame from the courtyard, stroll through the narrow streets and hidden corners of the Latin Quarter and marvel at St. Louis' phenomenal private chapel with skip-the-line Sainte-Chapelle tickets. Then experience Paris from a different vantage point on an idyllic Seine River Cruise.

Go back to where it all started with this leisurely tour of the geographic and historic center of Paris; the Ile de la Cité. Take in iconic sights from Notre Dame to Sainte Chapelle, before a leisurely cruise along the River Seine as the city’s history unravels before you

One of the best-known sites in Paris, your day begins at the Louvre Pyramid where you’ll meet your guide and small group. From there, you will be transported to the calm surroundings of the Seine for a stroll along the river banks. Take in the idyllic sights and charming buildings as your guide reveals the area’s hidden history. Stop along the Pont Neuf; the oldest surviving bridge that crosses the river, and gets swept away by the beautiful surroundings. The leafy cobblestones of Place Dauphine await before a guided tour around the narrow streets of the Latin Quarter home to the Sorbonne and the resting place of Marie Curie and Victor Hugo.

Next, your tour will transport you hundreds of years back in time, to when the mighty cathedral at Notre Dame (the distance from which all points in France are measured) was first built, and Paris looked very different from how it looks today. Since the Middle Ages, Paris has been a city of pilgrims drawn by Notre Dame Cathedral; the gothic jewel of the city. Struck by its immensity, seemingly impossible design, and bathed in light, early visitors were convinced it was conceived by the divine. Its ability to inspire endures more than 850 years later. Severely damaged by a recent fire, it proudly stands as a testament to the genius of its design and the endurance of France, reminding us all of Paris' official motto: fluctuate NEC merger - ‘rocked but never sunk’.

Your guide will bring you as close as the ongoing restoration permits to give you the best views possible. You'll cross the river into the historic Latin Quarter. Strolling down a meandering, cobbled streets, you'll hear the stories and learn about the characters - poets, philosophers, artists - that made Paris the ‘City of Light’.

Notre Dame is a magnificent building, but the title for the most beautiful church in Paris is reserved for the next stop of your Ile de la Cité tour; the incomparable Sainte Chappelle. Originally built by King Louis IX to hold his considerable collection of relics, it's one of the most stunning single rooms ever constructed in the Gothic style, with towering stained glass windows which never fail to impress. It's no wonder that general entry lines stretch around the block - but with skip-the-line Sainte Chapelle tickets, you'll get straight inside. You will be free to explore the majesty of the building at your own pace as the guided part of your tour ends here. Your guide will leave you with a special treat, however - a river cruise along the Seine where you can experience Paris and its many magnificent buildings from a new vantage point. The cruise will last one hour and has a live guide on board.

Fact, fiction, history, rumor, and lore all come together on this engrossing tour of Central Paris' most popular attractions. With a small group of no more than 15 people, you will have excellent access to your guide, whose stories about Paris will bring the city to life around you.

Paris Flea Market Tour

The “Paris Flea Market” is the largest Antiques Market in the world – with 15 markets and 2,500 shops.
Trends change quickly, and goods move fast. Ostrich feathers, old lace, collector books, estate jewellery, and trinkets and knick-knacks, are all at the Paris Flea Market. As are 1960’s vintage designer clothes, refined 1600’s furniture and religious art dating back 800 years. On this tour, your guide finds out what you want to see and do, and creates an itinerary centred around your interests.

Your guide will be waiting for you in our conspicuous pink vest outside the metro station, a short distance from the flea market where will inquire you about your personal interests to design an itinerary accordingly to your preferences...Are you a stroller or a shopper?
You will receive a map of the different markets, for you to situate yourself as you move along. Your guide will also advise about the stores that are likely to carry items such as you’re looking for.

You will visit several markets and learn about the 150-year history of the Paris flea market (some say it is an 800-year history). There’s eclectic Vernaison, and there’s high-end Biron. There’s hip Serpette and cosy Dauphine, and there’s street-wise Malik. There’s poor man’s Jules Vallès, and there’s over-the-top l’Entrepot. It all depends on what your group wants to see and do.

Your guide will share with you insights on how to shop, how to bargain, how to tell an authentic from a copy and how to negotiate - besides prices. During your tour, we may introduce you to some art dealers which knowing your guide, they will be more friendly and forthcoming. You will learn what it’s like to work as an antique dealer.

The tour ends in the heart of the Serpette market, next to the eateries. The guide will give orientations to each guest – what to visit, where to eat, how to shop.
