Vespa Adventure: The Waters in the Mountains of North Bali

During the journey to our trek we encounter wonderful lookout points and surely will give you opportunities to take pictures. On a concrete path that leads to the scattered houses of the few inhabitants of this area, we climb uphill. There are interspersed patches of forest and rice fields - but we always have a really wild mountain stream to our right. After some time, this concrete path will be replaced by a rather dilapidated staircase and we will experience the first small difficulties of this tour. We reach a barrage of the rural cooperative.

The rice field irrigation is regulated from here. Behind the dam the water is very calm and clean: we can swim in the river and enjoy ourselves. After we've moved forward on more or less fixed routes, it is now getting somehow adventurous. To get to three very unknown waterfalls, we have to cross the jungle and swampy terrain. It is worth it. To avoid giving too much away and make our guests to indulge a little joy of discovery, we present here only a photo of one of the three waterfallls. The path to the three waterfalls is only a detour from the main route. Therefore, we come back to the dam and do one more trip to another small waterfall with a nice pool. As it is really shadily over there, it is not suitable for swimming.

The so-called garden of the mountain farmers - a kind of mixed forest with clove trees, coffee and cocoa shrubs and other crops we slowly start the descent. We soon meet rice fields and signs of human life up here. Having already eaten at a beautiful place, we visit locals at their house, have a cup of coffee and see how people really live here. Passing rice fields and a few houses, our path runs down the valley. We can enjoy nice views of the northern coast all the time.

Maybe we will meet little temples for the goddess Sri in the ricefields. We enter the mountain forest again and offer those who dare to, another detour to a nameless, but very beautiful waterfall. Access is extreme, slippery and dangerous. We offer assistance to get to the place at the bottom of the waterfall. After this extraordinary experience we walk on track through the forest back to our Vespas. You might find yourself doing some nice pictures.

Full Day Taman Ujung and Tirta Gangga Floating Palace

Once we pick you up from your hotel in Bali, we'll make our way eastwards, where Bali hides major artistic, monumental and natural treasures. Our first stop will be in the village of Tenganan. Here we'll learn about the customs and traditions of the Bali Aga, one of the oldest indigenous communities on the island. During the visit to the village, we'll see the looms where the famous ikat pegringsingan fabric is created: among the most characteristic fabrics from Indonesia.

The tour continues along the east of Bali, vising the Taman Ujung floating palace. Found among ponds filled with lilies and other delighful aquatic plants, it's known for its majestic architecture and its beaty is evidenced in the number of marriage proposals which have taken place here. Just 20 minutes from Taman ujung can be found another of the must-see monuments in this part of Bali, the Tirta Gangga floating palace. We'll visit its gardens filled with pools, ponds, canals and fountains, revealing the almost sacred role that the water plays in this most picturesque of places. Discover East Nusa Penida: Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach - Full-Day Tour

While Bali could keep you entertained for weeks or even months, why see just one Indonesian island when you could see two? The craggy cliffs and clear waters of Nusa Penida make it a favourite among travellers in search of something rawer.

We’re taking you on a tour of the island’s eastern highlights by speed boat and air-conditioned shuttle. During our day in paradise, we’ll make the following stops:

Thousand Island Viewpoint: After cruising turquoise waters from Bali to Nusa Penida and boarding our vehicle for the day, we’ll reach the island’s most enchanting viewpoint. From here you’ll see countless islands, sweeping cliffs and, if you’re lucky, marine life the likes of turtles and manta rays.

Nusa Penida Tree House: Locally known as Rumah Pohon, this cosy cabin with a thatched roof benefits from its high vantage point. Climb a ladder up the tree trunk for the best panoramic views Nusa Penida can offer.

Teletubbies Hill: The rolling green hills of Nusa Penida will remind those who have been to the Philippines of beautiful Bohol. Like a giant tapestry stretching as far as the eye can see, this is the spot to snap your photos for the day.

Diamond Beach or Atuh Beach: After a busy day of sightseeing, we’ll stop for afternoon chills on one of Nusa Penida’s white-sand beaches. Popular Diamond Beach and hidden Atuh Beach both have their charms. While Diamond Beach is better for snorkelling, Atuh is a serene hidden gem.

After lunch, we’ll begin the scenic boat ride back to Nusa Penida, looking out for sea life as we go. You’ll arrive home happy and windswept by late afternoon.

Authentic Ubud Tour

Depart to Ubud to visit the Monkey Forest, also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal.

It is one of Ubud’s most popular attractions; a natural forest sanctuary that is home to a horde of grey long-tailed macaques. Besides watching playful monkeys in their natural habitat, swinging through canopies, lazing along pathways or feeding on bananas, the site offers cool walks along paved pathways through a leafy nutmeg forest.

Then we will visit the famous local traditional Art Market. We'll have an early dinner at a local restaurant, then we'll take the road to Puri Saren Agung: once the official residence of the royal family of Ubud where its descendants still live today, the palace now hosts culture dance shows and it is located on the Ubud Main Road.

It is essentially the father palace of the other Ubud palaces, which are more or less its spinoffs, built as the family extended. The performance will start 7:30pm until 9pm. After the show, we'll go back to the hotel.

Full Day Bali Dolphin Watching & Sunrise at Lovina Beach Private

Ready to spend a morning with the ocean’s most joyful creatures? We’re taking you on a memorable Lovina Beach dolphin watching Bali tour at sunrise. Not only will you capture striking photos of the sun creeping up from the horizon, you’ll also glimpse dolphins break the waves as they swim in their pods. Reconnect with everything good and beautiful about the natural world today, adding to the magic that is Bali...
Your Bali dolphin tour will start with a very early wakeup – the 3am kind! This is because dolphins are most active in the early morning. Forget catching any of them at 8am because they’re out and about literally at daybreak.
Once you’re bobbing on the calm North Bali ocean aboard a traditional boat, we promise it will be worth it. Your experienced guide knows the habits and patterns of the dolphins inside out, meaning you’ll have the best possible chance of viewing them in their natural habitat.
After this traditional Balinese boat tour, we’ll stop for a spot of breakfast before continuing to one of Bali’s most iconic spots. Handara Gate is a fantastic alternative to the popular Gates of Heaven, which usually have a two-hour queue for photos. These equally attractive gates are a hidden gem, thought by the Balinese to separate the spiritual and physical world.
After you’ve taken your fill of photos, we’ll transfer you back to your accommodation for a much-needed nap!
