Join us on the Sails to Sales tour and discover the most popular and secret sites of the South Street Seaport, and the many bars, taverns, houses and shops that made it the 'gateway' to the world. Discover the wealthy Schermerhorn's who erected buildings at the seaport for sailors to find entertainment on the mainland. As of the 1840s, the Seaport opened up America's trade to the Far East
