Skip the Line Park Guell Tour

Take a walk through Paradise and discover an idyllic spot in the city where peace and tranquility rules. Explore Gaudí’s stone fantasy with this visit to Park Güell, declared a world heritage site by Unesco. Don´t miss out!

Everything in Barcelona is just that little bit different and when it comes to parks, the city boasts perhaps the most colourful and curious one in the world as this guided tour of Park Güell will reveal. Discover Antoni Gaudi's architectural marvel on this walking tour and explore the most important sites as you learn all about the history of the park and its designer. Enjoy stunning views of the city and visit Gaudi’s former home, which is now a museum dedicated to him.

Park Güell was first commissioned by the Güell family as part of a landscaped housing development that would be a Utopian ‘garden city’. However the venture was unsuccessful and the area was bought by the municipality and turned into a public park, with a handful of completed structures left as a hint of what might have been.

See the colourful dragon mosaic staircase made from broken tiles and take in the views from the large central terrace framed by a snaking series of benches in the form of a sea serpent. Below the terrace is the vaulted lower court, which has 86 Doric columns in the form of massive tree trunks. Walk along the colonnaded pathways and see how Gaudi integrated nature with architecture. He even built birds’ nests into the walkways and terrace walls.

The park also contains a beautiful pavilion where the great architect lived for most of the last two decades of his life. It is now the museum and among the exhibits you will find a collection of extravagant bespoke furniture designed by him.

60 Minutes - Barcelona Segway Tour

Explore Barcelona’s Parc de la Ciutadella on this 60-minute introductory Segway Tour. Accompanied by a local guide, you will ride through the picturesque urban park and discover remarkable monuments such as the former citadel’s chapel and the beautiful pavilions of the 1888 world exhibition. This tour’s highlight is the visit to “Cascada Fountain”, the park’s ostentatious fountain co-designed by Antoni Gaudí.

Our 60-minute Segway Tour starts below the Arc de Triomf, one of the city's most emblematic landmarks, constructed as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. After a brief training to get familiar with your Segway, the tour leads you to the natural paradise of Parc de la Ciutadella, so named by the citadel of Barcelona, built by Philip V and once the largest fortress in Europe. Learn about centenary buildings such as the “Castell dels Tres Dragons” in an enjoyable and original manner.

Admire the chapel, now the Military Parish Church of Barcelona, and stop for photos next to the Governor's palace and the arsenal, that currently hosts the Catalan Parliament. You will be delighted to discover the glorious “Cascada”, inaugurated in 1881, which was constructed with the collaboration of the famous Antoni Gaudí. At the time he was still an unknown student of architecture but today he has become an essential reference for Catalonian Modernism. This is the perfect place for a group picture.

Have fun riding across the park to discover other constructions that can be seen today such as the Pavilions designed for the Universal Exposition of 1888. Wheeling your Segway down along the edge of the park, you will have a glance at the zoo of Barcelona, home to one of the most significant collections of animals in Europe. Enjoy your last ride cruising through the Passeig de Lluís Companys before returning to the starting point.

Sagrada Familia

Enjoy a bilingual guided tour of the famous Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, one of the most visited monuments in Spain. Regardless of your personal beliefs, the architecture, art and history that comes with this cathedral will leave you impressed from the minute you set eyes on it. During the tour you will see the exterior and interior of the basilica of Gaudí while your guide gives you the key points to understanding the symbolism used in such an emblematic temple that has been under construction since 1882.

Admire the original architecture of this unique piece consisting of three facades inspired by the three key moments in the life of Jesus Christ: his birth; passion, death and resurrection and glory. In the Sagrada Familia Christians can recognize the principles of their faith through structures, shapes and geometries inspired by nature. But for non-religious people, this work can be just as interesting in understanding the Christian religion: the history of the church, the Holy Scriptures, the tradition of devotion to the Saints, Christian doctrine and worship, etc. Whatever the motivation of your visit, you will find the Sagrada Familia a dream world to lose yourself to.

Skip the Line Sagrada Familia Express Fully Guided Tour

The first time you see the Sagrada Familia, you’ll probably be unsure of what to make of it. With tall airy spires that seem to defy gravity and seemingly cartoonish artistic details, Gaudí’s most ambitious project challenges and stuns over 3 million visitors per year. Today, it’s the most visited building in Spain. Your English-speaking local guide, an expert in all things Gaudí, will share stories and anecdotes that will help you get the most from your visit.

Highlights:
- Visit the Sagrada Familia, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece of Catalan Modernist architecture, which showcases Gaudí at the peak of his talent
- Our trademark Skip the Line access means no waiting in the famously long lines at the Sagrada Familia, potentially saving you hours of time
- Your expert local English-speaking guide will enrich your visit with the fascinating stories surrounding the construction of the Basilica and the genius behind its conception
- A personal headset is included so your guide can provide continuous commentary to enrich your experience.
- Limited groups of 25 people or fewer ensure you won’t feel lost in the crowd.

We’ll marvel at the two stunning completed façades and eight dizzying towers inspired by the peaks of Barcelona’s holy mountain Montserrat. After more than 100 years of tireless work, the façade is still under construction and it’s easy to appreciate why. Our guide will share tales of Gaudí’s love affair with his final work, how he considered the project his personal holy mission and the great personal sacrifices he made to ensure its completion. Sadly, he would not live to see it finished. Such was the complexity of the design that despite taking on the project at 31 years of age, Gaudí only lived to see the completion of one facade, one tower, the apse and the crypt.

Our trademark Skip the Line access will bring us straight past the long entrance lines and into the heart of the Basilica. You’ll feel as though you have stepped into an alternate universe. Gaudí’s characteristic dislike for straight lines will become disorientingly evident as we pass beneath rows and rows of tree-like pillars. Though construction is ongoing and not estimated to be completed until 2030, much of the Basilica can be visited today. The entrance fees collected from groups such as ours continue to ensure enough funding to see Gaudí’s dream through to completion. The Basilica was consecrated and declared a minor Basilica in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI.

Whether you have visited the Sagrada Familia already or this is your first time, this constantly evolving masterpiece will never fail to surprise and inspire you!

The Montjuïc and Panoramic Tour

This tour combines two areas of natural beauty used by Barcelona for culture and recreation:

The Waterfront which is a living example of how the very old can be successfully combined with the very new: the Old Port with its Dock warehouses and the Gothic Drassanes or shipyards have been preserved and incorporated into a remodelled recreational area, with the Aquarium, the World Trade Centre, restaurants and cinemas.
Montjuïc Hill Don't miss out on the opportunity to see the spectacular views of the city by visiting the Montjuic Hill. Parks, art galleries, mountain, museums and two of the major attractions: the 1992 Olympic Ring of Sports Stadium and the Poble Espanyol. We'll have about 45 minutes to enjoy this small village within the mountain.

Waterfront
• Old Port: it starts at the end of Las Ramblas and borders La Barceloneta, the fisherman's quarter. There you can find long beaches all along.
• Columbus Monument: built in 1888 to commemorate the discoverer. Placed at the end of the famous Ramblas.
• Gothic Drassanes: placed at the Old Port and a great example of civil gothic arquitecture in all Europe. It currently houses the Maritime Museum.
• World Trade Center: get delighted by this impressive building that is surrounded by water. Its aesthetic features make it one of the best attractions of the city.

Montjuïc Hill
• Mirador de Miramar (Lookout) stop: This terrace is a balcony over the Mediterranean with spectacular views over the harbour and the whole city. The bus will stop here to let you walk around and get the best viewpoints.
• Olympic Ring: Central sports facilities of the '92 Olympic Games, the complex includes the Stadium, the St Jordi sports pavilion by architect Arata Isozaki, the INEF by architect Ricardo Bofill and the Calatrava Communications Tower.

Poble Espanyol
• Final place on the tour so people who so wish can stay for as long as they like. Built for the 1929 Exhibition, you can see replicas of streets, squares, monuments and buildings from around the country. It is an open air museum with many artists and craftsmen you can watch at work, synthesyzing traditional crafts with modern design: glass, ceramics, jewellery, fabrics, etc. There are also many bars and restaurants, where you can stop for lunch as you will have about 45 minutes free time.
