Beautiful Phuket with its gorgeous beaches, cultural temples, colourful towns, and picturesque coastlines is one of the most scenic islands Thailand has to offer. We’ll start the day’s adventure with a visit to two of the most famous sites on the island. Our first stop is Chaithararam Temple or Wat Chalong. It is the largest and most sacred temple in Phuket, as it houses a bone fragment of Buddha. We’ll wander around the temple, taking in the decorative walls and ceilings that depict mosaics of Buddha’s life.

After taking in the glory that is Wat Chalong, we will head over to The Big Buddha, aptly named for the large 45-meter-tall alabaster statue of Buddha sitting atop a hill. We’ll snap some photos of this famous landmark as well as the surrounding scenery before making our way to Phuket’s Old Town.

Don’t let the name fool you! The old town of Phuket is known for its vibrantly coloured, century-old Sino-Portuguese houses that will transport you to a different era. We’ll wander around the streets, taking in the sights and sounds and explore Soi Romanee, one of the most famous streets in the old town.

After some window shopping, we’ll head on over to Nui Beach where we’ll take a breather and partake of a delicious local lunch before making our way to Rock Swing Beach to take some photos on a swing overlooking the ocean. Then we’ll head to Karon Viewpoint to take in the breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea and the lush greenery of the island.

Next, we’ll head to Ao Sane Beach also called Jungle Beach and will have some free time to rest and relax, snorkel and swim, or even take a quick hike uphill to Cape Krating, which also holds gorgeous views of the sea. To end the day, we’ll head to Windmill Viewpoint and Promthep Cape to take photos of even more seascapes and gorgeous views to memorialize the day’s adventure.

Phuket’s first ethical safari type experience, our afternoon with the elephants program is ideal for elephant enthusiasts and nature lovers as it offers the opportunity to observe the animals at a respectful distance while they roam through our manicured forest and bathe in our expansive pond.

Your visit starts with an educational video presentation at our Tree Top Reception to prepare you for your time with the elephants and to understand the importance of protecting this beautiful animal. Following a scenic drive along a local village you will arrive at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, a picturesque jungle dotted with ponds, wide open fields and hillsides for the elephants to roam around.

Your visit starts at our Tree Top Reception and Observation Platform, where we will show you a presentation and educational video to prepare you for your encounter with the elephants, and to help you understand why they need to be protected.

Next up, you will feed the elephants. While they enjoy their baskets of bananas, pineapples and cucumbers, you have a chance to learn from our guides about the background of each elephant.

Once the elephants are fed, we walk with them down into the jungle. By keeping a safe distance and watching them from our Observation Salas, the elephants have the freedom to express their natural behavior, from bathing and playing in our pond to socializing with each other.

This tour takes us on a cultural and scenic exploration of Phuket, otherwise known as the ‘Pearl of the Andaman’.
