The Medieval Banquet

This is a rip-roaring journey back in time that features jousting knights, amazing acrobats, dancing wenches, melodic minstrels and talented troupers – all the ingredients for a right royal romp.

The regal banquet takes place by flickering torchlight in the vaulted cellars of Ivory House, just a stone's throw from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. It is located on land that was granted to 13 knights in the 10th century by Saxon King Edgar the Peaceful. This rambunctious evening harks back to this chivalrous past with swordfights and music from the medieval and Renaissance courts of Europe.

The five course feast is the stuff of legend and equally satisfying is the unlimited beer and wine flow in King Henry's Banqueting Halls. Prepare to be swashed and buckled by the knights in shining armour, marvel at the minstrels and raise your tankard and cry wassail to the lords and ladies of the dance as the sound and fury of the medieval extravaganza unfurls before your eyes.

After the show, there is even more music and dancing on offer or feel free to take a two-minute walk to Tower Bridge and enjoy a panoramic view of London by night.

Nightfall Banquet (from 7.15pm to 12am)

Sit back and cast your eyes on the live entertainment where you’ll see everything from aerialists to contortionists as you feast out on the 5 course meal! Make use of the unlimited drinks and once you’ve rested your food, strut your stuff and show off your moves at the afternoon disco.

Hard Rock Tour London - Afternoon

Discover the Rock capital of the world, on this Hard Rock Afternoon Tour of London, beginning with a private viewing of its world-class collection of memorabilia.

Re-trace the steps of the bands and icons that defined our times and learn of their camaraderie and fearless invention as they wiped clean and drew again the face of popular music.

Your small group tour is led by an expert Rock guide and includes a ‘School of Rock’ virtual trivia quiz as well as the opportunity to re-create one of the most famous album covers of all time.

Verse 1: BEHIND THAT LOCKED DOOR…

As our VIP you are in for a treat as we begin at London’s only rock n’ roll museum: The Vault. Belonging to Hard Rock Cafe London, it is a treasure trove of the most valuable pieces of music memorabilia from across the globe!

Tucked away in an old Coutts Bank, The Vault was once used to protect the Queen’s coffers.
Guests on the Hard Rock London Afternoon Tour are afforded a private viewing of The Vault.
Gaze on in wonder as one of Hard Rock’s expert Rock Masters takes your VIP group down to the basement, beyond the high security door and into a music lover’s paradise.

Verse 2: ‘LIFE HAD JUST BEGUN’

The musical adventure you will embark on is a combination of poignant reflection, incredible fun and a voyage of discovery – do you have what it takes to join our ‘School of Rock’?

Harry Nilsson’s former flat is the sad setting for the exit of two of music’s most beloved personalities: Cass Eliot of the celebrated Mamas and Papas and the inimitable Keith Moon – known for his unique drumming style and his eccentric, often self-destructive behaviour.

At Garden Lodge see the former home of Queen legend – Freddie Mercury, known for his flamboyant stage style and his four-octave vocal range – while discovering the ongoing love story that lasted for his whole life.

Well rock fans you knew it was coming… it’s trivia time! Life-long fans will have the opportunity to test if they have what it takes to join the ‘School of Rock’ with questions by Rita Gilligan – Hard Rock’s original Rock n’ Roll waitress, international ambassador and MBE. Make sure you are keeping your eyes and ears open!

Learn of the ’27 Club’ – the astounding story that links the passing of some of popular music’s most treasured talents from American Blues Legend Robert Johnson through to Amy Winehouse.

No rock tour of London would be complete without a visit to the absolute Jewel in its Crown, and the world’s most famous pedestrian crossing! Having recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary and a return to the no.1 spot, The Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ has stood the test of time, representing their last recording at the world-famous recording studios in the leafy suburb of St. John’s Wood. Get in step as you take that legendary walk across the crossing re-creating one of the most famous album covers of all time.

P.S. Did you know Paul McCartney has a home that isn’t a long and winding road away?

Chorus: ‘HARD ROCK CAFÉ PICCADILLY’

Combining the eclectic vibe of Piccadilly Circus with the rock and roll lifestyle of the Hard Rock brand, Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus is the perfect conclusion to our virtual biopic through the icons of rock.
Walk in and be wowed by the walls adorned with authentic, one-of-a-kind memorabilia from decades of music history, featuring items from British music legends and international stars alike.
The emphasis is more on contemporary artists, with pieces from Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and George Michael sitting alongside outfits worn by the likes of Shakira, Nicki Minaj and Ellie Goulding. There is also a guitar once played by Ed Sheeran and a telephone box that once appeared in a One Direction video.
Your expert Rock Guide will introduce some of the most exceptional pieces before leaving you to explore the largest Rock Shop in the world at your leisure!

The Book of Mormon

Laugh at door-to-door missionaries like never before with the biting, irreverent and raucously rude The Book of Mormon musical.

Highlights
- Devised by the South Park creators
- Grammy award winning and biggest selling cast album in decades

Follow the hapless adventures of two Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints volunteers who head into the deepest Africa to proselytise… with the most hilarious consequences. With lyrics and music by the creators of South Park, you know what to expect!

Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham are two earnest young Mormon missionaries dispatched to a small town in Uganda to spread the word of the Book of Mormon. But straight away they’re overwhelmed by the culture shock and end up in a dramatic showdown with a despotic warlord. Far, far away from home and in a decidedly hostile environment, the pair are forced to confront their own beliefs before they can win the day and deal with famine, poverty and disease.

The show is the brainchild of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with Robert Lopez who wrote songs for Scrubs. Ditties such as Spooky Mormon Hell Dream and Tomorrow Is a Latter Day have helped the soundtrack pick up a Grammy Award and make it the biggest-selling cast album in decades.

Sharply satirical, cheerfully cheeky and more than a touch naughty yet somehow sweet and captivating as well, The Book of Mormon gleefully skewers a shedload of sacred cows including organised religion, consumerism and even the musical genre itself.

Best of Greenwich and St Paul's Cathedral

Take a stroll through London’s captivating history on this walking day trip to some of the city’s most notable landmarks. You’ll also get to cruise along the Thames!

The tour will start outside of the Outside City of London Information Centre – right by the magnificent St Paul’s Cathedral – where you will meet your guide for 8:15am.

St Paul’s Cathedral

A place of Christian worship has been occupying Ludgate Hill – the highest point of the City of London – since AD 604. Following the Great Fire of London of 1666, celebrated architect Christopher Wren was commissioned to design a new church for the hill, as the cathedral building previously there had been largely destroyed in the Great Fire. The St Paul’s Cathedral we know and love today is the fifth building to have occupied this site – officially completed in 1711, this building’s beautiful dome has been a crucial part of London’s skyline for over 300 years.

Wren was inspired by the creativity of Parisian architecture as well as Italian sculptor and architect Bermini – when designing St. Paul’s he aimed to combine the look of English medieval cathedrals with the classical styles of Inigo Jones and François Mansart.

Despite its striking exterior, the inside of St Paul’s Cathedral is just as much of a visual treat. Take in the many impressive Restrained Baroque architectural details and paintings encompassing the crypts as you discover the history of this iconic London landmark.

River Thames Boat Ride

From St Paul’s to the Thames – take a quick break from all the exploring at the cathedral and cruise through the heart of London before docking at the maritime town of Greenwich. It’s a unique and fantastic way to admire London’s skyline in all its glory.

Free time for lunch

Royal Observatory

Another masterpiece by Wren, the Royal Observatory is the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the famous Prime Meridian of the world, 0° 0’ 0”. It was built for the purpose of finding longitude at sea and is now a museum of time and astronomy. Check out the early Tompion clocks and displays on navigation at sea, which show how Britain was at the forefront of global exploration and trade.

Greenwich was indorsed by international agreement in 1884 as the Prime Meridian of the world – this means you will be able to stand astride the very line that separates East and West!

Your tour will finish at approximately 5:00pm and you can hop on any return boat you like.
